Kevin Richardson was born and raised in southern Lancaster County. For the first nine years of his life, he lived in the village of Mechanic Grove. At age 9, his family moved to Kirkwood. He grew up in the Providence Church, and received Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord at age 8. He was baptized and received into membership in 1976. Kevin graduated from Solanco High School and Millersville University with an accounting degree. In 1989, Kevin relocated from Lancaster County to Arlington, VA, to begin working as an internal auditor for the Department of Defense, Inspector General. In 1994, Kevin resigned and relocated to Findlay, Ohio to begin seminary studies at Winebrenner Theological Seminary. He graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 1997 and moved to Martinsburg, PA to begin serving as the pastor of the Martinsburg Church of God. In 1997, Kevin met Ruth Perry and in 1998 they were married. They welcomed their first daughter Molly in 2000. In 2001-2002 Kevin was in residence at Asbury Theological Seminary as a Beeson Pastor, pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree. In 2002, Kevin and his family returned to PA and settled in Harrisburg, where Kevin began serving the Fairmont Community Church as pastor. In 2003, Kevin and Ruth welcomed their second daughter Tessa. In 2004, Kevin graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry degree with an emphasis in advanced church leadership. From 2008-2017, Kevin served as the Executive Director of the Eastern Regional Conference, Churches of God. In 2018-2019, Kevin served as the interim pastor of the Hanoverdale Church of the Brethren. From 2019-2022, Kevin served as the pastor of the Redland Valley Brethren in Christ Church in York County, PA. Kevin began serving as the Senior Pastor of the Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren on October 1, 2022. Kevin is currently a licensed pastor with the Church of the Brethren while pursuing ordination.
