Hello on another snowy Monday! Just a short email from me today, trusting you’re all safe, warm and enjoying an opportunity to rest and be together with your family!

Though we weren’t together in person to worship together yesterday, I hope you spent some time worshiping as a household with the resources we provided you with! If you missed it, go back to yesterday’s email from the church to grab Pastor Kevin’s sermon recording, access to the BELIEVE session 4 video and a family discussion resource! Watch for the next episode of “The Dig” on Wednesday, too!

I should note here, next week (Sunday, February 1st) we will continue on in the BELIEVE series with session five - Identity in Christ! Using the tools we sent out yesterday will help you not get behind in the series!

Things will likely move a little slow this week as we all bounce back from this weekend’s snow storm. Not much on the church calendar this week! Lord willing we’ll be back together as a church family on Sunday!

I’ll leave you with this on this snow day… I was reading Luke 18 today which is making me think a lot about the Persistent Widow (Luke 18:1-8). I’m convicted by the widow’s persistence in laying down her petitions before the Lord, but am grateful for all that this little parable teaches us about God’s perfectly ordained justice. A lot of things in the world today just feel like, well, a lot. This little parable shows us that “Jesus uses this worn-out, annoyed, unfair judge to show us that God is the exact opposite. God is full of justice and righteousness. And He uses a tenacious, determined widow to show us that we can cry out to God and trust that we are heard and welcomed. He’s listening to our persistent prayers for things to be right for everyone.”

Grace and peace, church fam!
