A new week and we’re one hour short! I hope you’re all adjusting well to the time change at the start of your week! It certainly was refreshing to have such a big and bright sun joining me on my drive into work today!
The next several weeks are quite full on my calendar, personally and here at work. March really does come in like a lion and out like a lamb! Make sure you’re checking in on the happenings of the church, particularly all things family ministry on that colored insert in your bulletin each week!
Our Lil’ and Bridge Roots Kids were thrilled to find their first clues and treats from their “branches” yesterday. Thanks to all who signed-up to connect with the younger generation this way! This event is a simple, but incredibly powerful way to connect the church family! If you’re looking for a place to connect with other generations there are several vacancies for Sunday School teachers in Lil’ Roots, Youth Roots and Adult Roots classrooms! Reach out if you feel the Holy Spirit’s nudge!
Yesterday, Aliza Kraynak, our COM Administrator, shared during our monthly Moment for Missions. I hope you enjoyed hearing about and seeing pictures of all of our Children’s Outreach Ministries at work! There are many ways to support COM, aside from prayer of course! On April 18th, Wee Friends Preschool will host their 50th Anniversary Carnival Fundraiser. They are looking for donations of several items, as Aliza shared, you can support our Preschool Families by purchasing items needed on their Amazon Wishlist which you can find HERE. We are also looking for church family members to share their time and giftings as a “Bridge Builder,” visiting in one of the COM ministries to read a story, lead a craft, play a game, etc. You can see both of these sign-ups in the Gathering Area.
The Lent calendar holds some wonderful items in it for 2026. Hopefully by now you’ve taken notice to these upcoming events on the back of the “Taking Up Lent” insert. Save the dates and invite your friends and neighbors! What a blessed time to be together in God’s house!

What I’M Learning This Week: Sharing what I’m reading and listening to lately
I have really been enjoying teaching our Bridge Roots (4th-6th grade) Sunday School class over the last ten weeks. They really are a fun bunch! A lot of what is unique about creating a space for our preteens that is different than Lil’ Roots or Youth Roots, is giving them an opportunity to feel safe to ask questions and explore answers together.
I knew the discussion on eternity and heaven would be a fascinating one with this group! They did not disappoint! Here was one of my favorite questions from the group…
“When you get to heaven, if you can only ask God one question the whole time you’re there, what would that one question be?”
Their answers were great! Some serious, some silly, of course! What would your answer be?!

Something to Read: I just grabbed a few of these “Toddler Theology” books for my office. They are really great little books and the “When is Eternity?” is a timely one for our week in BELIEVE.
