Hello again, friends! I’m coming to you a little sleepy, but more refreshed than I’ve felt in some recent days. That’s such an odd tension to feel in our physical bodies, but I think it’s similar to the tension that we feel all the time in our souls - the almost and not yet. It’s like the enjoyment of the beauty of this fun, exciting and kind of complicated life earth-side and knowing what awaits us in eternity with our Lord. What a treasure of what is to come that we get to hold on to!
Thank you to the many of you who signed up to be Branches in this year’s Branches brunch! You’ll receive more details and your Lil’ Roots “assignment” soon. Parents, please get me your Lil’ Roots interest forms by Sunday!
Weather pending, we'll be together on Wednesday evening for another Roots Night! It sounds like we could have some winter weather that evening and into Thursday. Watch your email, the MGCB text message service and some of your local news and radio stations for weather updates.
There’s still time (and lots of seats!) to sign-up and join us for the Museum of the Bible trip hosted by the Nurture Commission! Join us for an all-day trip to D.C. on Saturday, March 15th. Tickets are $60 for adults and $50 for kids/teens. The cost covers the bus and museum fees. Food is on your own. Turn in your money in the envelopes and bin in the main office.
Married couples received a postcard reminder for our next church-wide date night on Friday, February 28th from 6:30-7:30pm. Come for a night of fellowship and grow closer together with your spouse! Remember, this is not just for those who have been married for less than 15 years or something like that. It’s for ALL married couples. Invest dedicated time in your marriage to go from a “good” marriage to a “great” marriage!
I hope you had a sweet Valentine's weekend with the people that you love! Scott and I enjoyed a slow evening at home and my nephew and I surprised my sister with some flowers at work. Lil’ Roots friends shared the love by exchanging some valentines to each other (and some of you, too!) yesterday morning. All of us, shared together in the reminder of God’s love to us as we worshiped together!
