FAMJAM 2025 FAQS

What is FAMJAM?

Think tent revival service meets vacation Bible school! We’re taking one summer weekend to worship God together with EVERY generation! Join us as we sing, pray, study and play together! This family worship experience is for all-ages, 0-100! (Preschool-aged friends will participate in a modified schedule) We will explore the Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7), through worship services, small group Bible studies, crafts, music, service projects and play. 

Where does FAMJAM take place?

1. Join us at Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren at 1392 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville, PA 17566. 
2. The majority of our activities will take place outside. Some small group activities will take place inside the church. 

How does the FAMJAM schedule work?

Friday, August 1st

1. Outdoor worship service from 6:30-7:30pm
2. Refreshments from 7:30-8:30pm

Saturday, August 2nd

1. Morning Worship Service
2. Please bring a packed lunch
3. Afternoon activities - Bible Study, family service project, games, crafts
4. Food Truck Dinner & Family Softball Game
5. Evening Worship Service
6. Refreshments

Sunday, August 3rd

1. Breakfast provided by Mechanic Grove Church of the Brethren
2. Outdoor worship service from 10:30-11:30

How do I register?

1. Pre-registration is expected! Please register using the form on our website - www.mgcb.org/famjam. 
2. Registration payments can be completed online. 

What if we can’t stay all day on Saturday, August 2nd?

It's not the end of the world! We need you to specify that information on your registration form and with the registration team at check-in on Saturday morning. We’ll coordinate with you to make sure our volunteer team escorts your child to you at registration when you need to depart. 

Who comes to FAMJAM?

1. EVERYONE! Hence the name FAMJAM! It’s for the whole family, ages 0-100! 
2. Pay close attention to the schedule, preschool aged friends have a modified schedule on Saturday. 
3. A nursery will be available during certain blocks of the weekend. 

Am I required to participate in all three days of FAMJAM?

1. That is why pre-registration is expected! This helps us plan for refreshments, materials and space!
2. Nope! Will it make your experience way better? Absolutely! Our worship services and Bible study groups will build on each other as we’ll be studying through Matthew 5-7, Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, throughout the weekend. So it will be beneficial for you to be there all weekend, but we understand that it’s a busy time of year, you may not be able to make all three days. 

How much does it cost?

1. The event costs $10 for anyone 5 years old and up. Preregistration is expected! Please sign-up and submit your registration payment online in the registration form. 
2. Saturday evening includes a selection of Food Trucks, your costs, for dinner. 

What do adults do while our kids and teens are at FAMJAM?

1. We have programming for adults too! Adults have the option to participate in various activities such as Bible Study small groups  and outdoor activities. You’ll join your elementary-aged kids for a service project and a whole-family game time in the evening on Saturday. 
2. Don’t have kids? That’s not a requirement for participation! No matter what your family looks like, we’re adopting you into our FAMJAM family! We’re all part of Christ’s family!

What if it rains?

We’re praying for sunshine, but if it’s a rainy weekend we will move FAMJAM inside the church. 

What do I need to bring?

1. You’ll want a Bible and something to write with for the worship services.
2. If you’re participating on Saturday you’ll need a Bible, something to write with, a packed lunch (labeled with your name), a towel and change of clothes (kids have some water activities planned)
3. You’ll need money for registration ($10 for anyone 5 years or older) and money for the Food Truck lunch on Saturday Evening
4. We’ll provide kids and teens with a FAMJAM journal and hat!
